I ride roughly 60-100 miles a week. Was in an accident and had a replacement for the 7000 shipped to me. This bike had all the best features of the 7000 stripped out. They toik away the the quick release front tire the adjustable handlebar stem, the shock absorbing seatpost and even the kickstand. So what do you get in return? Nothing really....okay disapointment. If you want a stock bike with nothing particularly nice about it...then throw away $400 of your hard earned money on this piece of junk.

I got my Trek Versa 1 for my 50th birthday. I had just gotten back into cycling after 20 years "rest". I had been riding a 16 year old Wal-Mart mountain bike, but the wife rewarded my new vitality with the Trek. In the 2 1/2 weeks since, I have ridden about 250 miles on the Versa 1 and love it. I even did a 72 mile day on the Katy Trail in Missouri!

I just turned 50 and had been out of cycling for several years. This past summer, I tried to get back into riding for health reasons. My previous bike was a Mongoose mountain bike, full suspension. I never knew how heavy and slow that bike was until I rode my new Trek Versa 1. My wife got it for my birthday last week and I've already put about 100 miles on it, including a 42 mile ride the first day. It really does make a difference to have a real, well-made bike! I look forward to many, many miles of healthy enjoyment from my new Trek. See you on the paths and trails! PS, the con on my rating, is according to my wife and daughter, I like the brown seat!
